I needed this reminder today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It came by email from a woman who has been waiting way tooo long for her baby from China! Please pray for her with me!
After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said, "I love you, but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you." The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my Mother, who has been a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally.
That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie. "What's wrong, are you well," she asked? My Mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitat ion is a sign of bad news. "I thought that it would be pleasant to spend some time with you," I responded "just the two of us."She thought about it for a moment, and then said, "I would like that very much."
That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous about our date. She waited in the door with her coat on. She had curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last wedding anniversary. She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel's. "I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed," she said, as she got into the car. "They can't wait to hear about our meeting."
We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy. My Mother took my arm as if she were the First Lady. After we sat down, I had to read the menu. Her eyes could only read large print. Half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mother sitting there staring at me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips. "It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small," she said. "Then it's time that you relax and let me return the favor," I responded. During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation nothing extraordinary but catching up on recent events of each other's life. We talked so much that we missed the movie. As we arrived at her house later, she said, "I'll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you." I agreed. "How was your dinner date?" asked my wife when I got home. "Very nice, much more so than I could have imagined," I answered.
A few days later, my Mother died of a massive heart attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn't have a chance to do anything for her. Some time later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place Mother and I had dined. An attached note said: "I paid this bill in advance. I wasn't sure that I could be there. But nevertheless, I paid for two plates - one for you and the other for your wife. You will never know what that night meant for me. I love you, son." At that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time: "I love YOU" and to give our loved ones the time that they deserve.
Nothing in life is more important than your family. Give them the time they deserve, because these things cannot be put off till "some other time."
Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after you've had a baby.... somebody doesn't know that once you're a Mother, "normal" is history.
Somebody said you can't love the second child as much as you love the first....somebody doesn't have two or more children.
Somebody said the hardest part of being a Mother is labor and delivery.... somebody never watched her "baby" get on the bus for the first day of kindergarten...or on a plane headed for military "boot camp."
Somebody said a Mother can stop worrying after her child gets married....somebody doesn't know that marriage adds a new son or daughter-in-law to a Mother's heartstrings. Somebody said a Mother's job is done when her last child leaves home....somebody never had grandchildren.
Somebody said your Mother knows you love her, so you don't need to tell her....somebody isn't a Mother.
Pass this alo ng to all the "Mothers" in your life and to everyone who ever had a mother. This isn't just about being a Mother; it's about appreciating the people in your lives while you have them....no matter who that person is.
Watch your thoughts, they become words.
Watch your words, they become actions
Watch your actions, they become habits.
Watch your Habits, they become character.
Watch your Character, for it becomes your Destiny
"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle".
'As you mature, you realize it's better to find someone who's got your back than someone who turns your head.'
'There comes a time in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, and who always will . Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason they didn't make it to your future.'

Cuteness with a side of attitude
Most people who know Liv never believe me when I tell them that Miss Liv has an attitude. She is such a sweet, quiet, and loving little girl to everyone. But she reserves the "tude" as we like to call it, for us. She can give a dirty look that will have you shakin in your shoes. In some aspect it might be good for her to have a little attitude, since she is so tiny she might need it as she grows up!!!
Sweet Liv
Finally I have some cute clothes on this girl, I feel like all winter she has been in sweats.
Oh how sweet!!!!
The look that says 'Watch out world I have a tude"
"Yea so I'm eating snow, What you looking at looking"

Vinay,
Words cannot express how much I love you. You are such a wonderful husband, so caring, helpful, affectionate, and loving. You are also an amazing father. Liv and I are so lucky to have you.
So thank you Vinay...
For the happy yesterdays we've had,

Look what we found this weekend
That's right Miss Liv's smile is back. She is still having some nasty diapers, but no more fever and she is acting more like herself.
Oh please don't think I am this horrable Mother who never gets her kid out of PJ's. Liv's new thing is she does not want to get dressed in the morning. She will scream, cry and hold her hands inside of the arms. It's so bad that I can no longer put her in blanket sleepers because she will not let me take them off. So she has 2 pairs of 2 piece PJ's and she will let me change the bottoms but the top must stay on. Luckly it's winter so I just put her shirts over the PJ's, but by the end of the day she wants her shirt off so that she can see her PJ's top. I have decided to stop fighting this and just let her exert her independance. Let's just say I'm picking my battles. Ahhhh terrable two's here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Daddy got Liv to smile this weekend.
And Won Ton soup got her to eat!!!!

Still sick!!! Enough already!!!!
Vinay and I are just about all better. Yesterday we finally ate a true meal.
But poor Liv's stomach virus is hanging on. She has only one nasty diaper a day, but has had a low fever on and off. Poor baby just wants me to hold her and carry her everywhere. I've basically have been letting her watch allot of TV, because she doesn't want to play, she just wants to lay around. She loves Noggin, but what is up with their line up lately. 2 Little Bill's in a row, then 2 Wow Wow Wubbzy. Does anyone like Wow Wow Wubbzy? Luckly we have lots of other shows TiVo'd.
Oh I miss my happy, funny, energetic, little girl.
I Hope the weekend brings back this smile!

Major Malfunction
My camera is having major problems again, I think it might be because it fell in the toilet at Tylers birthday party on Saturday. I am so mad because I had some great pictures of the kids enjoying the party. Liv especially loved playing with the balloons.
I haven't been able to get to circut city to return the camera, because the plague, otherwise know as a massive stomach virus, hit the house Sunday night and we are just now recovering from it. All of us had it sooooo bad that we had to call my cousin Kate to come in and help. Thank God she even slept over so that I could rest last night. Luckly we are feeling better and hopefully we can get out of the house tomorrow and get a new camera.
Hope to post pictures by the end of the week!!

Funny pictures and catching up
Well I am finally feeling back to my old self I was finally able to really eat on sunday. Vinay was great in helping with Olivia while I was under the weather. It made me realize what a wonderful husband I have and how lucky I am.
Next week we meet with the speech therapist for Liv. She qualified for the services for early intervention, and I'm not sure if they will come once or twice a week. In the evaluation they said that Liv was at a 15 month old level for speech, which makes sense since she spent the first 5 months of her life hearing Spanish. As for everything else, motor skills ect.. she was either at her 20 month level or above. But that I already knew!!!
So here are some old pics from the last 2 weeks
Vinay and I at Pat O'Brians!!! How funny is this picture!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vinay getting ready to play in the big game!!! HaHa!!!
Miss Liv reading a book before sleeping over at her grammy's house.
You can see in this picture that I cut her hair in the back. It's a little shorter than I wanted but, It is finally all even now, and no more mullet! Now I will let it grow long.

A quick Tag
Ellie tagged me and since she is in Guatemala picking up her little Angelo right now, I thought I should play along. So a hugh shout out to Ellie, Angelena, and Angelo on finally being a forever family!!!! Whoooo Hooooo
I've been TAGGED to share 7 strange/weird/unusual facts about myself! Luckily this has made the rounds so I shall not tag anyone else!HERE I GO:
1. I have never lived anywhere but in the state on NJ, and I have no desire to ever leave.
2. I hate to work out, and everytime I start a workout routine I get sick, so I've just given up.
3.Everyday I go back and forth about if we should adopt again.
4.For an English Major and former teacher I am a horrable speller!
5. I don't own that many pairs of shoes, I usually will find ones I like but if they look like they might hurt my feet, I won't buy them.
6. I was always self confident, untill I became a Mom, now I question myself constently and I am my own biggest critic. I am working on this one!!
7. I am in love with the cosmetic counter, but only if it's free gift time. I have hundreds of small bottels of various makeup in the house!!
