Miss Liv has always had a bit of a temper, but no one warned me that from the exact moment she turned two, that it would get sooooooo much worse. What happened do all kids recieve some type of memo on their second birthday.
Attention two year old toddler:
Your Mother knows nothing, you no longer need to listen to her. You do things your way now. If they try to negotiate with you, do one of 2 things. Scream and throw your yourself on the floor, or completely ignore them. From now on when they put you in time out just laugh and get up. Remember you are in charge now!!!!
PS you will receive this notice again as a reminder on your thirteenth birthday.
Here is my little firecracker ignoring me asking her to help pick up her toys!!!
Please tell me the three's are easier!!!

All I can say is - I'm right there with you!! We had to leave our local pizza joint last night because Alex wouldn't listen. :(

Maya has already hit the terrible twos and she doesn't turn 2 until August. I ask her doctor last week how long this stage would last. He laughed and said that I had at least 16 more years.
I have a little firecracker at my house, too. The 2s have been very rough, but things are getting better as she approaches 3. Hang in there!!

to be three means "I can do it" I am seeing it as a very independent stage that is not to be toyed with. I'm very strong-willed to begin with, so it doesn't help, but at least you can rationalize a little more than you can with two. Emily is a good kid, but I noticed she has an opinion on everything now from what she wants to wear to how I should have cut her french toast. You never know what they will do next, so just go with the flow. One stage leads to another, but at least she has a mom like you so she'll be sweet no matter how you look at it! Love, Kwis
um, I think Gabriella got that memo early - at about 18 months.....
It's been Rough(yes, with a capital R) around here lately. The problem I'm having though, is that she has NEVER listened. It's maddening....... I'm at my wit's end to figure out how to get her to listen to me - EVER. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
We're all in this together.... mabye one of us will unlock the secret!
Okay, that is hilarious!! I lover her little face....acting like she can't hear you. I think we are going to have a firecracker too.
I have heard three's are worse.
Please don't circulate that memo to Savannah. It is a riot though.
We have other problems. She is a pretty good listener for two, but the screaming, crying, whining, no patience, and frustration level is what gets me on top of very little language.
We all have our challenges. It is just part of being a toddler. They are trying to push our buttons.
That is why we have each other.
hey nik...
just to warn you- in my experience with the boys- threes are definitely NOT easier! sorry...
love,
j
