Back but under the weather

We had a great time in Mexico, the weather was great, Vinay and I spent some great quality time together. Unfortunately the Mexican food or water has gotten to me and I am still sick. It feels like my stomach will never be normal again.
So I am spending all my energy on my Liv, I missed her soooooo much, and she is happy to be back with her Momma.
So I am taking a little vacation from blogging, I will try to catch up on my blogger friends this week and start fresh next week.

Great Weekend and a picture for Uncle Victor!!

First I would like to thank everyone for their generosity for our cyber shower for Jenny, Matt and Eliana!!! You can still donate, just check out http://www.thejujucrew.blogspot.com/

We had a great weekend just hanging out with Olivia. It was too cold to go anywhere, so we just stayed in and played all weekend. We also packed for Vinay and me. We are going on Vinay's annual work trip to Cancun. It is even harder to leave this year, because Liv will know I am gone. But still I am going, because I think Vinay and I need it. Lately Liv has been taking so much of me, all that girl wants is her Momma, and there isn't much left for Vinay. So I am looking forward to spending time together as a couple ;)

The best thing in the world. Playing tea party with your daughter!!!!
Would you like your tea with one lump of sugar or two!!
Hey Uncle Victor guess who I'm rooting for in the superbowl.
Ohhhh Yeaaaa the Giants!!!!! Go Eli!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miss Personality

It seems like over night my Liv has developed into a little girl. A little girl with a big personality. She has some very clear ideas of what she likes, wants, and thinks. Hello toddler hood, goodbye baby.

Things she likes,
"The big comfy couch" It comes on after Sesame Street, and she has to watch it.
Coloring in her coloring books, she will color for a good half hour, longer if I color with her.
Wearing her PJ's, some days she won't let me take them off, so I put clothes over the PJ's.
Reading the book "Adios Gorilla" over and over.
Playing hide and seek, and she is so quiet, sometimes I can't find her.

Things she wants:
Her pacifier. Usually she only gets it for naps and in the car, lately it's an obsession!!
Her own way, If I say no she cries, if Vinay says no she yells back. Adolescence will be fun for the two of them.
Dora yogurt drinks for breakfast everyday.
Her Momma and only her Momma 24/7.

She thinks:
That snow globes are the best.
That pictures of balloons in a book, she should be able to grab out and play with.
That her own language is hilarious, she cracks herself up.
All babies in a carriage are sleeping, even when they are not.

Coloring with her stuffed animals, she will even put a crayon by their paw for them to color too.
So proud of herself for arranging her stuffed animals

Wow Wednesday

A good listener is not only popular everywhere, but after a while he gets to know something.
Wilson Mizner (1876 - 1933)

Well yesterday was Liv's Dr appointment. Of course he said that Liv is developing nicely, she is right on track, but she may have a speech delay. So he set us up for an evaluation with a speech therapist through Early Intervention. It is part of the school system in town and hey that's what we pay these high taxes for right. So in the next two weeks Liv will have her evaluation.
While we were at the Dr. Liv just stood there listening to us talk to the Dr, and I realized that my Liv is an observer at heart. She observes and listens to everything. That is how she approaches the world. She is cautious first, then curious. That is just her personality, and that is what I love about her. So my Liv you be the good listener, and with a little help, you'll soon be able to tell us all that you've taken in. Note to self, stop cursing at other drivers, while driving!!!!

Here are some pictures from yesterday, it was 67 degrees and Liv could not wait to go out and play.
Fueling up before going outside.
"What we really are going to play outside?"
"Put the camera down and lets go Mamma."
"Fine I'll just go with out you."

Hanging at the mall

This weekend we met up at woodbridge mall with blogging buddies, Carrie, Rich, and cutie Savannah. Liv had a great time running around with Savannah. We first met at Tiny Town but it was too crowded so we took the kids to a little area in the middle of the mall, where the girls could run free and let their little personalities come out!!! We had such fun watching the girls play and Carrie and Rich are so nice that we felt like they were old friends. Can't wait to see you guys again!!!

Here are the two princesses hanging out at the mall
Nice to meet you Savannah, I've seen your pictures.
Let's chill out and have a snack!!
Calling their people to see what's up
Mommmmmm, we can't pick up any boys with you hovering
Come on, let's try and ditch the parents and go shop at Hollister!!

Wow wednesday a day late

"Our patience will achieve more than our force" Edmund Burke

Boy do I need to remember this quote more often. Lately I have been worrying about Liv's speech, or lack there of. I know that she is basically a quiet child, but I really thought she would be picking up more words by now. She will say, Momma, Dadda, backpack (thank you Dora), hot, this, that, and apple. I know that is not too bad, but theses are the same words she has said for the last few months. I must say that she understands everything and I mean everything we say, even when we are not talking to her. She also communicates to us what she wants or needs with her own little sign language. It's just that I really thought she would be adding more words to her vocabulary by now, this weekend she will be 20 months. So today I made an appt with her Dr for next week, just to make sure that she is on track. I know he is going to tell me she's fine and to just let her go at her own pace. She will talk when she is ready, so for now I will rely on being patient.

Vinay put together Liv's table and chairs last night, it only took 2 hours, but it's the last of things she got for Christmas that needed to be put together.
"No Daddy, it goes like this"
Posing in front of her table, before we went out in the 20 degree weather this morning.
"Mommy button this coat and lets go already!!!!!!!"
